The Purchasing Department is hiring an Inventory Planner who will play a key role in Imperial Dade’s success by ensuring routing optimization and integrity across our multiple-site distribution network. 

 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Analyze and forecast sales and inventory needs at the item/location level for key items to ensure optimal inventory and safety stock levels and providing order plans to the buyers.
  • Utilize historical, seasonal and current selling trends to determine product needs
  • Collaborate with members of our Buying team to better understand our products, our customer’s needs, and the relationships in place with our source suppliers.
  • Create and maintain item plans for customer programs deemed critical 
  • Forecast sales and inventory needs in alignment with company strategies
  • Build all new Victoria Bay transitional codes on ladder plans and layer in history of its replacement item codes
  • Work with counterpart teams on capacity challenged warehouses. Suggest items to move to temporary off-site storage location and advise on expected transfer back dates if applicable
  • Refine existing tools and methods to continually improve forecasts and processes to proactively anticipate our customer’s needs and regularly communicate with Buying and counterpart teams

Qualifications

You have:

 
  • 2 to 3+ years of experience in a related position (inventory, purchasing, supply chain) 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Solid knowledge of data analysis and forecasting techniques
  • Able to use logic and innovative methods to solve problems and identify effective solutions.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
