Responsibilities

You will:

  • Participate in the development of annual operating plan in direct alignment with Company goals.
  • Assist in development and preparation of annual budget, KPI Goals, evaluate weekly performance and recommend adjustments.
  • Respond to customer or vendor questions or complaints to resolve issues regarding sale and/or distribution services.
  • Direct and guide the team to drive efficiencies (loading, unloading, slotting, accuracy, performance, etc.).
  • Participate in the development and implementation of service & productivity improvement initiatives to increase customer satisfaction & reduce operating expense.
  • Hire, coach and manage disciplinary actions with Operations staff.
  • Responsible for data integrity of inventory, quantity, location, and value.
  • Participate in monthly sales meetings with outside sales representatives.
  • Meet and build relationships with manufacturer representatives who visit the branch on a regular basis.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with customers who are not assigned to an outside sales rep (House Accounts).
  • Work alongside the warehouse manager who oversees delivery trucks, forklifts while overseeing warehouse equipment.
  • Assist in sales rep management and analysis of accounts, as requested.
  • Organize and maintain history files for a necessary period of time and/or until any issues are resolved

Qualifications

You have:

  • A college Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience within industry, managing warehouse and office staff
  • Foodservice or Jan/San experience is strongly preferred. 
  • Operations Leadership skills: Reliable, personable and enjoy building relationships while leading from the front lines.
