Overview

Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming our accounts receivable function and contributing to the continued success of our business. We are open to applicants based in either Grand Rapids or Detroit, MI.

 

As the Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be a critical leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts receivable and related accounting procedures. This includes not only managing day-to-day operations but also driving strategic improvements and implementing best practices. You will provide financial leadership, develop and implement policies, systems, and reporting mechanisms, and most importantly, coach and mentor a large team of A/R professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our A/R department and make a significant impact on the organization.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Lead and manage a large accounts receivable team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Drive change management initiatives to optimize A/R processes and systems.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Oversee all accounts receivable functions, including billing, collections, cash application, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement A/R policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze A/R data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on A/R performance to senior management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve A/R systems and technologies.

Qualifications

You have:

  • Proven track record of success in accounts receivable management, leading and developing large teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
