Overview

Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our 160,000 sq. ft. Kentwood, MI, distribution center. In this role you’ll lead teams that are responsible for delivery and warehousing. We are looking for a hands-on leader that can motivate and inspire others. In this role you’ll be responsible for approximately 5 direct and 45 indirect employees across a Monday - Friday, 2 shift operation.

Responsibilities

You will:

 

  • Drive operational excellence and meet high productivity goals
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, cross-functional team
  • Manage all facility logistics: warehouse layout, receiving, order selection and deliver
  • Lead inventory control programs through cycle counts and data reconciliation
  • Implement continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Safety and HR to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
  • Manage the facility budget and evaluate core KPIs

Qualifications

You have:

 

  • 7+ years in warehouse and logistics
  • 4+ years of direct managerial experience (warehouse manager level)
  • Proven track record in high-velocity wholesale distribution
  • Expertise in inventory control and KPI evaluation
  • Experience applying Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
