Overview

Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor. We are looking to add a service technician to our team in Venice and Sarasota area.  This position works with our sales force installing chemical dispensing equipment.  Once a sale has been established our team installs the requisite equipment and provides ongoing service to the customer.  Training will be provided, but any mechanical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Clock on and clock off with the Chemical Manager at the start/end of the workday.
  • Respond to all emergency calls received within 30 minutes
  • Maintain clean and orderly service truck including inventory for equipment and parts
  • Write and complete all service reports and copy Sales Associates and Chemical Manager
  • Complete and submit weekly recap of accounts seen and other activities, plus weekly work plan
  • Daily/monthly route coverage according to the monthly plan
  • Maintain and update route books

Preventative Maintenance requirements:

  • Make a weekly schedule of the accounts you will visit based on geographic proximity to one another.
  • Travel to existing accounts to perform work on equipment we have provided for the customer.
  • Use Tablet to log service at each account you visit.
  • Take inventory of chemicals at each customer you visit.
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and repair parts in good condition as required for the job.
  • Make a minimum of eight calls a day.

 

Service Calls:

  • In addition to your weekly scheduled route, you can expect emergency service calls.
  • Respond to these calls within 30 minutes of receiving the call and schedule a time to service the account.
  • Be on call on the weekend should an emergency service call arise. A schedule of on/off time will be established between all technicians for weekend service calls.

     

 

Physical Job Demands:

  • 60-70%: Assisting with the maintenance, service & repairs of dish machines, dispensers and chemical management systems which include: bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting, and climbing.         
  • 30%: Driving to and from job sites.
  • 10%: Placing service calls and completing reports on tablet.

Qualifications

You have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience servicing the food service and hospitality industry
  • Minimum of 1-year Electrical experience
  • Minimum of 1-year Plumbing experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with various makes of commercial dishwashers and dispensing equipment and installations
  • 2 years clear MVR
  • High standard of workmanship and professionalism
  • Good troubleshooting ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of principles of operation of dish machines and laundry machine functions
  • Proficiency with computer applications and use, email, etc.
