The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Night Manager and supervising personnel within the warehouse to ensure that all functions are performed efficiently within company and distribution center standards. The schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday 4:00pm-4:30am

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Train, monitor, motivate and coach picking team, order processors and problem resolution team.
  • Create a staffing plan to ensure processing goals are met during peak seasons and that labor efficiency goals are met.
  • Manage order processing and picking for a busy shipping department to include overseeing all picking processes, picking areas and skip loading processes ensuring quality standards are met and that orders are shipped within the appropriate timelines.
  • Troubleshoot picking errors and implement retraining processes as needed to ensure efficient and accurate picking to support the outbound team
  • Ensure that staff is well trained in best practices for picking and using outbound equipment Ensure proper procedures are maintained for controlling forklifts and order pickers including shift equipment pre-checks.
  • Monitor daily productivity performance for picking crew, ensuring best practice procedures are being observed to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Work to consistently improve processes and practices to ensure “best practice” in procedures, equipment utilization, efficiency, cost reduction and employee satisfaction
  • Ensure all warehouse equipment is properly maintained, that additional equipment is procured in a timely manner and that shipping area is compliant with asset protection protocols.
  • Ensure reasonable housekeeping measures are maintained in order to ensure a well- organized and safe workplace
  • Create employee development plans to establish a growth path for high achieving inbound associates
  • Maintain excellent communication within the packing/shipping group through effective pre-shift meetings and one-on-one communications
  • Partner with Inventory, Shipping and Warehouse managers to ensure overall operations are running smoothly
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

You have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience, formal training, and/or education in warehouse operations, preferably with the Company or in the distribution industry.
  • College Degree a plus.
  • A working knowledge of government regulations pertaining to warehouse operations.
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Must be able to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written. You will deal with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone.
  • Basic computer skills required and personal computer experience, with word processing and spreadsheet applications preferred.
  • The analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities.
  • The ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.
  • Experience implementing process improvements in an operational environment preferred
  • Experience in a changing/growing organization
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Salary: $52,000-$58,240/Annually

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 4:00pm-4:30am
