We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to oversee and manage the shipping operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record of optimizing shipping processes. As a Shipping Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products are shipped efficiently and accurately, meeting the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of shipping personnel, coordinating daily activities, managing schedules, and maintaining shipping records. Your ability to analyze shipping costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses will be crucial as we strive to maintain our competitive edge in the market. You will work closely with other departments, such as sales and inventory management, to ensure a smooth flow of information and products. Responsibilities

You will:

  • Direct and manage all shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to optimize shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Align shipping operations with the company's strategic goals and policies.
  • Develop and implement shipping policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and analyze shipping metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize logistics.
  • Recruit, select, train, and motivate shipping team members to ensure adherence to best practices and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records, including tracking shipments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through training, procedures, and enforcement.

Qualifications

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping or logistics management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in shipping software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations and customs procedures

Salary range: $70,000 - $72,000
